Description
Short
Opalfall is a cozy-cosmic block puzzle. Break light free from stone across ten worlds, each with its own element and rules, and chase a home you've never seen.
Long
In Opalfall you play a block puzzle with your thumb: colored light is locked inside stone, and you break the stone to set it free, chaining colors into satisfying cascades. The journey runs through ten worlds — lava, waves, and on from there — each built to feel like its own place rather than a reskin. A companion named Roy rides along, and a quiet story threads underneath it all: one light that shattered into ten worlds, and the pull toward a home you've never seen. It's cozy and casual up front, with a real climb in the higher worlds, and it's built to be friendly — no punishing timers, no energy meters, no pop-ups shaking you down mid-game. Opalfall is made by a solo developer at The Crux Studios; it started as a game his son asked for.

The studio
The Crux Studios is a one-person studio. Opalfall is its debut game — it began as a request from the developer's son for "a cool space block game," and grew into ten elemental worlds with a story underneath. Read more on the Dev Log and dig into the world on the Lore page.
